El Ray shows a versatility of sound and an ear for catchy, toe tapping melody’s which embrace the listeners both into - and beyond the cliches of the surfing genre. El Ray’s combination of fresh, modern style with a polite salute to the history of surf - it’s ‘surf with a twist’.

Better Surf Than Sorry - it’s time to join the party!

Copenhagen, Denmark. Maybe not the most logic place for a band to emerge with the obvious surfing pedigree of a band like El Ray. The band shows a versatility of sound and an ear for catchy, toe tapping melody’s which embrace the listeners both into - and beyond the cliches of the surfing genre. El Ray’s combination of fresh, modern style with a polite salute to the history of surf - it’s ‘surf with a twist’. El Ray welcomes you to the new, classic sound.

The band’s 4 full length releases, the two 10″s and the singles are known to have been recorded during blizzards, heatwaves, and pandemics, far away from the Californian lifestyle. Every album has received excellent reviews! Whatever the secret is, El Ray keeps on giving you the sweet goose bumping, hair raising instro-surf!

El Ray’s merits have proved the band to be a serious contender in writing and performing modern instrumentals that would make your hifi-stereo A GO-GO!! The four Scandinavians have built their own brand within the surfing circles since 2001 and have headlined the biggest surf festivals around the world. El Ray is well known for mixing their dynamic, cool, punked up surf tunes with a spoonful of rock’n’roll and a tad indie to make everybody happy when “it’s better to be surf than sorry”.

  2. The Biarritz Boys, wearing bathrobes, standing in the river Waal while having a cup of coffee, with the city of Nijmegen in the back

Looking sharp in their suits and performance, The Biarritz Boys swing their surf set until the sweat drips from the venue’s walls, turning every dance floor into a salty surf zone. So, ride the wave or go under.

Enjoy the hip, slick, ultra-violent and super sexy surf sound of… The Biarritz Boys.

The Biarritz Boys have been howling the reverb out of their Fenders since they were out of diapers. With Nijmegen Surf City as their home base, they’ve rocked stages and festivals across Europe — and of course, the usual batch of filthy clubs and grimy basements. Looking sharp in their suits and performance, these gents swing their surf set until the sweat drips from the venue’s walls, turning every dance floor into a salty surf zone. So, ride the wave or go under.

Enjoy the hip, slick, ultra-violent and super sexy surf sound of… The Biarritz Boys.

  3. Los Chukukos in aloha shirts

A Jungle Surf trio from Santiago de Chile and Germany, who intoxicate the senses with psychedelic Cumbia and reverberant Surf and Garage.

Driving beats, frenetic rhythms and howling punk guitars entice you into a wild and exuberant dance from the very first beat.

Los Chukukos are a Jungle Surf band founded in Chile, but living in Köln/Bonn and Bern for some years now. They play reverberant, instrumental music influenced by psychedelic, surf, punk, garage and cumbia. The project started in 2015 in Santiago with the aim of recording a studio album with original songs (that could eventually become a 12″ Vinyl LP) before they migrated to Germany and Switzerland. During the process they were invited to play in small festivals in Santiago and Valparaiso. After leaving Chile they were going to stop playing because of the distance, but since the recording caught the attention of specialized press, they had the chance to play in Surf Festivals like “Reverb Rampage” (Berlin, DE) and “Aloha Fest” (Venlo, NL), which gave them the opportunity to keep dreaming with extending our “Deep Latin Surf Attack” to other countries.

In 2023 a new bass player joined the Chukukos family with the focus on increasing the frequency of playing live gigs.

  4. The Malbehavers rocking on the Little Devil stage

With roots in The Mono‑Tones, The Surf‑O‑Maniacs and The Ribble Chips and a record collection full of Dick Dale, Astronauts and Surfaris, Tilburg locals The Malbehavers blast their songs, full of wild surf guitars, across the dance floor.

    Sonic beach party.

The wild surf guitars of Tilburg locals The Malbehavers, for a sonic beach party! Instrumental surf music from the days when ponytails were still worn high on the head, swimming trunks were still fitting tight around the scrotum, and when you could still shamelessly shake your hips on the dance floor.
